Downtown Honolulu
Walking downtown, I noticed the old and new Honolulu right in front of me. The mix of new and old buildings is emphasized by the reflection of an older building in the glass face of a new one. I found the image a metaphor for how things change, yet still retain the imprint of the past. The trees seem to support this idea, their growth spanning the old and new eras of Honolulu. Coconut palms live 60-80 years.
