Erice, Sicily, Italy
Erice is a beautiful town in the mountains of Western Sicily. It's streets, buildings, and walls are constructed of stone. The stones glow with the sun at different times of the day. Many groups have contested their right to Erice, including the Phoenicians, Greeks, Carthaginians, Romans, and the Normans. It has an amazingly complex history.
